Dr.
Edwin C. Floyd Dr. Floyd has provided complementary health care to the greater Los Angeles community since 1978. Trained as a Chiropractor at the University of Pasadena School of Chiropractic, Dr. Floyd gained great respect for the body's ability to heal itself. Entering practice in 1978 he soon discovered much was evolved in the increasing health care demands of his patients. This led Dr. Floyd to return to his books. After completing a Master's program in Biology and Clinical Nutrition from the University of Bridgeport, Dr. Floyd entered a post graduate Diplomate program in Clinical Nutrition offered by the Los Angeles College of Chiropractic. After years of practice, utilizing bio-mechanical and biochemical techniques, Dr. Floyd returned to his books, this time to study the energy medicine concepts of Classic Homeopathy. He took a one year course in Seattle, Washington, and a two year course in Berkeley, California. Being overwhelmed with all of the new information he now held, very excited and quite impressed with the positive impact this new energy component had on his patients, Dr. Floyd journeyed to Calcutta, India, where he spent six weeks in clinical training in Homeopathy. Dr. Floyd joined the post graduate faculty of the Texas College of Chiropractic and began traveling throughout the United States training students and medical professionals in Classical Homeopathy since 1989. In January, 1990, Dr. Floyd became President of the National Board of Homeopathic Examiners, and in June he became President of the International College of Homeopathy and Bio-Dynamic Studies. In June of 1993 he became Chancellor of the International University of Bio-Dynamic Studies. In November, 1994, Dr. Floyd was named President of Southern California College of Chiropractic. Dr. Floyd is a graduate of the University of Pasadena which was later changed to Southern California College. His intention was to return to his alma mater with plans to revive the institution by reintroducing the initial university systems as the mission of the school. After assuming the office of President of Southern California and a new board, the name Southern California College of Chiropractic was changed again to Quantum University, hopefully with new energy. After Dr. Floyd's struggle and long endeavoring hours of trying to turn the school's history around, but receiving no cooperation from the Chiropractic profession, the new Board of directors closed Quantum University in November, 1995, bringing to an end almost 25 years of producing outstanding vitalistically-oriented doctors to the Chiropractic profession and gave custody of the student records to the International College of Homeopathy. With all the obstacles that Dr. Floyd and his staff had come across during the process of trying to revive the chiropractic profession he has not given up. For every one step he's been pushed back, he takes two steps forward, and one day soon he will complete his long walk. He has sacrificed so much of his personal life so that he may complete his mission for something he believes so much in. His goal is to teach a system of health science that focuses on modern scientific concepts emphasizing the vitalistic aspects of life, health, and the natural processes to achieve a quality expression of life. Dr. Floyd is now introducing Vitalistic Alternative Health Care, and education to the greater Los Angeles community. | |||||||||||||||||
